Chappell Roan Is the New Face of MAC Viva Glam
Chappell Roan is the latest star to join MAC's iconic Viva Glam legacy. The singer has collaborated with the brand on a limited-edition lip collection while helping raise funds for LGBTQ+ organisations and equality-focused charities through one of beauty's longest-running philanthropic initiatives.

Chappell Roan has officially joined one of beauty's most iconic campaigns, stepping into the role of the newest face of MAC's Viva Glam initiative. The announcement places the Grammy-winning artist alongside a long list of cultural heavyweights who have fronted the campaign over the past three decades, including RuPaul, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Rosalía.
The partnership arrives during a major moment for both Roan and MAC. Already a global ambassador for the brand, Roan has collaborated on a limited-edition Viva Glam collection featuring three lip products inspired by her signature aesthetic and stage persona. The collection includes UnNatural Red Head, a deep cherry lipstick nodding to her famous red hair, Roan of Arc, a plum-toned lipstick balm, and Damnsel, a sheer red-plum gloss finished with gold shimmer.

The campaign imagery leans heavily into fantasy, drawing inspiration from the French Revolution and theatrical aristocratic glamour. Created alongside longtime makeup artist Andrew Dahling, the visuals see Roan transformed into a surreal warrior-empress figure, complete with jewel-toned eye makeup, dramatic lips and her now-signature curls. The campaign was photographed by Inez & Vinoodh and directed by MAC Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti.
Beyond the beauty launch itself, the collaboration continues Viva Glam's long-standing philanthropic mission. Since launching in 1994, the initiative has raised more than US$545 million globally. MAC has confirmed that 100 per cent of the selling price of Viva Glam products supports charitable causes focused on sexual, gender, racial and environmental equality. As part of the partnership, the brand will also donate US$300,000 to Roan's nonprofit organisation, the Midwest Princess Project, and its LGBTQ+ partner organisations.

For MAC, the collaboration feels like a natural fit. Roan's unapologetically theatrical approach to beauty has become as recognisable as her music, helping establish her as one of pop culture's most visually distinctive artists. For Viva Glam, a campaign built on self-expression and advocacy, the partnership signals another chapter in a legacy that has consistently used beauty as a platform for cultural impact.
The MAC Viva Glam x Chappell Roan collection launches globally on June 11.
